Ahmari Borden, Maleek Anderson, Trevon Campbell and Kareem Baulkman rounded out the scoring with 2 points apiece.

Coach Patrick Clark said the Bearcats were beginning to hit their stride of playing good team basketball along with excellent defense.

“We shot the ball well from the field and free throw line and players stayed out of foul trouble,” Clark said. “Again, the players still need to work on conditioning for finishing out the second half of our basketball games. We will correct those issues as the season progresses.”

The seventh grade Bearcats will play again against the Whigham Indians Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 4:30 p.m.

Last Monday, the eighth grade basketball team beat Pelham 46-24 and last Wednesday the team defeated Thomas County Central 47-15.

Deyon Bouie led the Bearcats in both games. He scored 14 points against the Hornets and 12 points against the Yellow Jackets.

Braxton Johnson added 10 points against Pelham and Zacceus Chrispen poured in 8 points.

Against the Yellow Jackets, Zion Bouie added 10 points to the board and Johnson put up 9 points.

The eighth grade Bearcats will play their first home game of the season on Nov. 30 against Miller County.
