A fall exhibit of arts, created by members of the Decatur County Artists Guild, is on display at the Gilbert H. Gragg Library for the whole month of October.

The artists are represented by oil paintings, watercolors and photography, with a variety of subject matter.

One of the first paintings seen as you enter is a fall display of pumpkins and gourds, by Sherri Dollar. Lynda Todaro has created two very diverse subjects. One titled Natural History is of two old abandoned cars that are overgrown with weeds and brush, and the other is a portrait of a very jolly priest. Sharon Faulk ‘s photography is always unique and she hasn’t disappointed this time. One is a plain red, spike heeled shoe on background of black boards; and the most clever one is of a grocery cart with an alien riding in the child seat.

India Jernigan’s serene style shows well in a painting of lily pads and another is a rural scene featuring horses in a field. Carol Ratliff’s main subject is Cowboys. A deserted beach scene is representative of Evelyn Knight’s style.

These are just a few of the artists on display, and an exhibit that is worthwhile.
