Dontavious Devario Hicks, 24, was arrested last Saturday in Bainbridge after Bainbridge Public Safety received a tip of a suspected drug dealer in the area.

Seized in the bust were approximately an ounce of crack cocaine, four ounces of marijuana, more than $400 in cash and other drug related objects. Hicks was charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Related Objects and several traffic related violations.

When BPS officer John Walker spotted a vehicle matching the description from the tip, he turned his patrol car around so he could get behind it. Upon doing so, the suspect sped up and ran a stop sign at the intersection of Columbia and West streets.
