BHS hosting career fair

Bainbridge High School is hosting a career fair Wednesday, April 27, in the gymnasium from 1 to 4 p.m.

This will be the first career fair hosted at the new high school.

The goal of the career fair is to make students aware of the vast career opportunities available to them by meeting with area business and industry partners. Our hope is that the career fair will assist with career planning and help our students choose the appropriate career pathway.

We expect approximately 900 students to attend.

Each grade level is scheduled to attend for about a half hour.

Bainbridge Middle School eighth-graders are scheduled to arrive at 1 p.m.

Bainbridge High School ninth-graders are scheduled for 1:45 p.m.

Bainbridge High School 10th-graders are scheduled for 2:15 p.m.

Upper classmen and parents are welcome and encouraged to come after school.

Students will visit booths and participate in a career scavenger hunt. Several business partners representing many career fields will be present. The scavenger hunt requires students to ask mystery guests specific questions to guess the mystery guests’ careers. Suggested questions include required skills, typical day and earning potential.

If your business is interested in taking part in this exciting event there is still time to participate. Feel free to contact Vonda Hubbard at (229) 243-6846 or Vicki Cross at 248-2230.
