The Student Council at John Johnson Elementary School sponsored a food drive during the month of November. The school collected approximately 1,771 pounds of food during the food drive, and it was donated to the TLC food bank. Weekly incentives such as having special guest singers on the morning television news show helped encourage the students to bring in the canned goods. Glee Powell’s first-grade class brought in the most canned goods and will win a pizza party.
