Bainbridge High School claims 2023-2024 overall Region 1-4A crown with 13 championships across all programs

13 Bainbridge High School sports teams asserted their dominance on the GHSA Region 1-4A in 2023-2024 and earned Region Championship titles. Eight boys teams and four girls teams make up the spread.

In the fall, The Bearcat football team and Ladycat cross country team earned titles. The Bearcats finished undefeated against region opponents and outscored them by an average of six touchdowns. 

The Ladycats had a successful regular season and posted a score of 29 at the region championship meet, edging Westover by four points.

In the winter, The Bearcat basketball and wrestling teams, as well as both boy’s and girl’s swim teams, earned titles.

The Basketball team won its first region championship in years, thanks to an 8 point comeback against Hardaway in the title game. The wrestling team rolled over rivals Cairo to win their championship. The swim teams both won championships in the 2023-2024 season.

In the spring, the Bearcat and Ladycat soccer teams, Bearcat and Ladycat golf teams, Bearcat and Ladycat tennis teams, and the Bearcat track team won region titles.

The Bainbridge soccer program had its best year in its history, and has two region championships to show for it. The Bearcats made their deepest run ever in the playoffs (3rd round), and the Ladycats recorded the team’s first undefeated regular season record (14-0-1).

The Bainbridge tennis teams were dominant in the region in 2023-2024. Not a single player dropped a set against region opponents, and they both crushed Cairo for their titles. 

The Bainbridge Golf teams had productive seasons and came away from them with region championships.

The Bearcat track team captured their region championship in convincing fashion, beating Westover in second place by more than 50 points.
