Ladycats crush Cairo 8-1, finish regular season undefeated for first time in school history

The Ladycats beat Cario 8-1 Friday in the last game before playoffs. The victory pushes them to a 14-0-1 record and cements their undefeated regular season. 

“It means a lot,” said Ladycats head coach Brian Hill. “The girls, they have worked hard, and it’s fun to be apart of.”

Junior forward Addison Hill scored five goals in the rout. She scored four consecutive goals to start the game and netted one more in the first half.

Senior Nicole Tyre added another, and freshman Jasmine Rentz scored her first career varsity goal in the win.

The Ladycats went 8-0 against region opponents and enter the playoffs with a No. 1 seed. They will face LaGrange High School in the first round. The playoff game will be a home match on Tuesday, April 16.
