Mr. Frankie Roger Dollar, age 77, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed on April 5, 2024, at his home. Services for Mr. Dollar will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. Rev. Conrad Salter will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service which will conclude in the chapel. Mr. Dollar will be buried next to his wife in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Frankie Roger Dollar was born to Riley and Murline Johnson Dollar on July 8, 1946 in Bainbridge, Georgia. He was married to his wife, Sandra Parish Dollar, for over 45 years. Sandra was a wonderful wife and took excellent care of Roger. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and worked for the City of Bainbridge Water Department for many years.
Frankie loved the outdoors and camping in the woods and could often be found hunting or fishing while he enjoyed nature. He spent many hours doing woodworking projects. Making music was one of his favorite hobbies as he played the steel guitar and enjoyed country and gospel music.
Frankie Roger Dollar is survived by his daughters, Vicki Lynn Shavers(Jeff) of Athens, Tennessee and Micki Lynn Baugher of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Aaron Davis, Travis Baugher, Trina Shavers, and Justin Shavers; his great-grandchildren, Alice Davis, Riverlyn Davis and Remi Davis; and his brother, Bobby Gene Dollar of Tallahassee, Florida.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, and his siblings, Winfred Anderson and Earl Dollar.
