Robert Cheshire Trawick was born August 3, 1974, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Bobby & Janice Strickland Trawick. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1992, and later earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Valdosta State University. Cheshire married Charity Kemp in 2007, and they made their home between Bainbridge and Mexico Beach. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

His smile said it all…from “the more the merrier” to “of course there is room” to “uh, we don’t have to give EVERY detail of the story”. Cheshire never met a stranger and seemed to be that good ol’ boy who always “knew a guy”. He loved the outdoors when it involved FUN and not work. Cheshire enjoyed duck hunting and fishing. Most of the tales he told involved some trip to Arkansas or were associated with the “Cheshire Cat” in saltwater, two of his favorite places. Sharing his love of the outdoors, attending sporting events, and pretty much anything else the children were involved in became integral to the stories he shared. Anyone who knew Cheshire had no doubt he was a family first friend.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Charity Kemp Trawick; his children, Jonah Michael, Harper Alise, and Macsen Kemp; and friends from every place he ever visited. Cheshire was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby & Janice Trawick.

Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)
