The Bearcats beat the Westover Patriots 46-38. The Ladycats pulled away late after a back-and-forth battle.

“It was a big-time win,” said Ladycats head coach Danny Evans. “I told the girls yesterday, ‘It’s going to be the biggest game of your high school career thus far.’”

Evans emphasized the game against the Patriots because the win held important playoff implications. With the victory Friday night, the Ladycats are one region win away from securing a second seed in the region. 

They get the chance to secure the second-place spot in their next game on Saturday, Jan 27, against Shaw. The away matchup vs the Lady Raiders tips off at 4 p.m.
