Richard Eugene Faircloth was born January 19, 1964, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Douglas & Ruby Gainous Faircloth. He was a graduate of Forest Hills High School in West Palm Beach. He served for thirty years as an inspector with Georgia Federal-State Inspection Service. Ricky was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Outside was the place you found Ricky most often. He may have been grilling, working in the yard, frying sucker-sides, netting with friends, or just sitting by the bonfire. He was always “busy”. Every now and then, he would pick up a golf club or a softball bat. Spectators got a thrill knowing he had a big swing at bat and could hit a golf ball a mile. Ricky made no bones about being “that Papa”. Simply hearing their names made his face light up and got his wheels turning on the next big adventure.

Survivors include his daughters, Brittney Faircloth of Bainbridge and Summer F. McDonald (Allen) of Newton; his grandchildren, Flint, Aiden, and one on the way; his mother, Ruby G. Faircloth; his siblings, Randy Faircloth (Ronna) of St. Augustine, Gail Faircloth and Gary Faircloth (Christine) all of Bainbridge; his beloved dogs, Nash, Ginger, and Brian; and a host of extended family. Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Faircloth.
