Ebony Brooks Jr. has been charged with felony murder in connection to the homicide of 19-year-old Cameron Walker.

Walker’s body was reported in a vacant lot off Monroe Street on Oct. 17— the cause of death was identified as a gunshot. A passing citizen reported the body to law enforcement just before 8:00 a.m. that day.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation took over the investigation, with Bainbridge Public Safety and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office assisting on the scene.

Brooks was booked Tuesday, Dec. 12, and has a posted court date of Mar. 12, 2024.
