Basscats sweep top spots at weekend tournament

The Bainbridge Bass Cats took to the water on Saturday for their last tournament of the fall. 

The middle and high school teams fished against Seminole County and Grace Christian Academy anglers.

The middle school Basscats took the top three spots in the junior division. Cole Henderson took first place with a total weight of 13.98 pounds— and bagged the biggest fish of the day with a 7.15-pound bass. Fisher Baty Took second place with a total weight of 8.56 pounds, and Drake Walls took third with a total weight of 4.09 pounds.

The high school Basscats took the top four spots in the senior division. Hayden Reynolds took first with a weight of 6.75 pounds, Tyler Godwin took second with a weight of 3.80 pounds, Caleb Rogue took third with a weight of 3.48 pounds and Shane Hoskins took fourth place with a weight of 3.30 pounds.

The Basscats season paused after the Saturday tournament and will resume in February.
