On October 23rd Senior Beta students from Spring Creek Charter Academy traveled to Great Wolf Lodge in LaGrange, Georgia where they participated in the Beta Leadership Summit. These students competed in two areas, Lead outside the box and Collaboration connection. Callie Eakin, Payton Staples, Emily Ingram and Takayla Hall competed in the collaboration connection challenge where students had to engage in quick, creative, and critical thinking challenges. The team had to think on their feet and apply collaborative leadership skills and make connections to produce a response in a given time frame. Dylan Lenz, Dalton Bowen, and Noah Bellflower competed in the Lead outside the box challenge. In this challenge, students were given a real-world problem at the beginning of the summit and created a two-minute presentation of how they solved the given problem. Their excellent performance was rewarded and they will move on to the National Beta Convention where they will compete in these leadership challenges against Beta members Nationwide.
