The Grace Christian Academy cross country team traveled to Lee County Saturday for the Lee County invitational meet. With over 1200 racers, the meet is one of the largest fielded races in southwest Georgia.

Freshman Tatiana Smith led the Lady Cougars with an 11th-place finish and a time of 23:01.82.

Sophomore Walker Elrod led the Cougars with a second-place finish and a time of 16:39.28. Elrod shaved more than 55 seconds off his time from last year on this course.

Caellum Bush and Henry Lee showed out for the middle school Cougars with ninth and 11th place finishes, respectively.

The team will travel to Panama City, Florida Saturday for the Buccaneer Bash Invitational, first race at 8 a.m.
