(Bainbridge, GA)  First National Bank’s First Adventurers Travel Club members enjoyed a recent adventure that brought together the beautiful expanse of the prairies, the soaring majesty of the Canadian Rockies, and the brilliance of Montana’s Glacier National Park.

The tour began in Calgary, Canada, home of the Canadian Stampede, then headed south to the prairie lands and visited Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, a UNESCO World Heritage site. “Hearing the Blackfoot guide gave the group a first-hand view of their culture, ” stated Lorenda Smith, SVP & Travel Club Manager for First National Bank. The tour then proceeded to Glacier National Park, a naturalist’s paradise, where travelers hopped aboard one of its famous jammer cars, taking them along one of the most breathtaking roads in North America—Going-to-the-sun Road, which stretches across the Continental Divide.

“On Friday, we arrived in Banff, Canada, where we stopped at Bow Lake. The beautiful green-blue color and the sunlight reflecting off it simply took our breath away. Many stated they had never seen anything so breathtaking, and pictures could not do it justice”, stated Smith. The group then headed to the Icefields Parkway, stopping at the Athabasca Glacier, the largest ice accumulation south of the Arctic Circle and the most visited glacier in North America.

The tour made its way to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. “The climb to the top of the Eiffel Peak to view Moraine Lake was majestic. The climb was not easy, but It was awe-inspiring as each person made it to the top and could see the spectacular view”, said Smith. The group enjoyed lunch at the Ski Lake Louise Lodge before boarding the gondola, which ascended to a height of 6,850 feet above sea level.

“This trip checked off the bucket list for many who went. Travel expands your mind, intellect, and imagination. I am blessed to work at First National Bank, where building relationships Is valued. I am honored when someone chooses to travel with us”. Said Lorenda Smith, Senior Vice President & Director of Retail and Marketing for First National Bank.
