The Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new business to the community Tuesday morning. Clothing N Things is a new department store that offers women’s and men’s clothing, as well as make-up and beauty products, shoes and purses/handbags. Owner Ebony Taylor originally owned a store in Lakeland, Georgia, before moving to Cairo several months ago, before finally settling on her current location in Bainbridge. It took two months for Taylor to get her store operational after settling on her current location, with Tuesday being the grand-opening.

“Bainbridge is a larger city than Cairo,” Taylor said, explaining her decision to set up shop in Bainbridge. “We like the diversity here, everyone seems to be nice, the community seems to like to help out.”

She encouraged people to come by, saying, “We have items that people can buy that are affordable, but also nice.” She also encouraged customers to visit their website, shop.sensationalcnt.com. “That is a faith-based, spiritually encouraging website, and we’re gonna bring a lot of those products in here as well.”

Clothing N Things is located on E Calhoun Street, adjacent to Boyd’s BBQ and the Tanning Company.
