Two Florida residents arrested on drug trafficking charges

Several weeks ago, a Bainbridge Public Safety officer made a traffic stop on Tallahassee Highway. Smelling marijuana and having his suspicions aroused by interacting with the car’s occupants, the officer proceeded to search the vehicle. This search led to the seizure of five pounds of methamphetamine, a bag of a substance believed to be cocaine, and a 9mm handgun.

The two suspects, Curtis Anthony Battle and Norsheka Lashawn Battle, were both arrested, with Curtis being charged with Possession of Cocaine; Possession of a Firearm or Knife During the Commission of or Attempt to Commit Felonies; Receipt/Possession/Transfer of Firearm by Convicted Felon or Felony First Offender; and Trafficking in Cocaine, Illegal Drugs, Marijuana or Methamphetamine. Norsheka has been charged with Possessin of Cocaine; Possession of a Firearm or Knife During the Commission of or Attempt to Commit Felonies; and Trafficking in Cocaine, Illegal Drugs, Marijuana or Methamphetamine. The two are Florida residents, neither having a bond amount listed in their arrest reports.
