Dorothy Nell Ezell was born August 5, 1938, in Bainbridge, Ga., the daughter of David & Ruby Ezell. She attended The Academy for The Blind in Macon, Ga. She retired as a legal secretary for the late George Stacy Law Firm.

Dottie didn’t let her disability stop her from living life to the fullest. She was a dedicated Sunday School teacher at Pine Forest Baptist Church where she was also a member. She was a faithful Christian servant that could be found at the church any time the doors were open. She studied her Bible devotedly and graciously helped others when needed. Dottie wasn’t a mother herself but cared for her nieces, nephews, and cousins when they visited. Because of her work ethic at the Law Office of George Stacy, Dottie will always be remembered. Many may not know that Dottie had an adventurous side. She loved jumping the waves at the beach, riding the Scrambler and Ferris wheel at local fairs, and tubing down the river in Helen, Ga. Dottie was a hot chocolate making, storytelling, high heel walking, Tic Tac loving, purse toting, loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and cherished friend who loved life and the Lord.

Survivors include her sisters, Shirley Story (Bill) and Carolyn Elliott (Don). Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, David & Ruby Ezell; her sister, Mary Alice Beauchamp (Joe); and her brother, David “Bubby” Ezell, Jr.
