To finish out the spring soccer season, the Bainbridge Decatur County Recreation Authority held the rec soccer finals last Thursday afternoon. The championship pitted the 8U, 10U and 13U teams against each other.
For the 8U bracket, the Chick-fil-A team was matched against Rosier & Associates, with Chick-fil-A winning 2-0.
For the 10U teams, the Dairy Queen team was paired against Southward Plantation’s team, with Dairy Queen winning 8-1.
In the 13U age bracket, Laredo’s and Chick-fil-A were pitted against each other, with Chick-fil-A winning 2-1.
While the spring season has ended, the summer soccer program is just beginning. The Rec Authority will hold a free soccer clinic with Coach Hill and the BHS soccer team Thursday, June 8, at the Bill Reynolds soccer fields. While the event is free, space is limited, so parents should register their child online in advance.
Following this, the Rec Authority will hold a longer soccer camp, the Toluca Atlanta Soccer Academy Summer Soccer Camp 2023, which will last from June 20 to June 23. Unlike the clinic, this camp has a $140 registration fee, with registration ending June 19.
