Max Franklin Battensby was born May 7, 1998, in Brandon, Fla., the son of George and Angela Cowart Battensby. He was a graduate of Cornerstone High School, Class of 2014. Max was a millwright at Georgia Pacific and a member of Family Worship Center.
Max was always busy doing something; he was either working, hunting, or thinking about his next project. He tinkered on EVERYTHING. Go-carts and motorcycles fascinated him, and a little adjustment here and enhancement there certainly made for even more fun. Max had a way about him that made others happy. He loved spending time with family, and his happiest moments were times shared with his children.
Survivors include his fiancé, Brooke Wise; his children, Brantley and Braxson Wise; his parents, George & Angela Battensby; his siblings, Terry Edmondson, Tiffany & T.J. Simpson, Thomas Edmondson, Amy Battensby & J.J., and Dalton Battensby; his paternal grandmother, Debra Ann Lambrix of Lakeland, Fla.; and a large extended family. Max was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Battensby and Patsy Cowart Simmons; and his nephew, Brayden Cox.
