In an announcement post on Facebook this week, Sio’s announced that the business is currently up for sale, with the building also up for lease. The post reassured customers that Sio’s will remain in operation until a buyer is found.

Co-owner Siobhan Poole spoke with the Post-Searchlight about this decision, citing that she and her husband/co-owner JD Poole will be relocating their family to Florida.

“Our family is down in south Florida, so we’re moving back to get closer to our family,” she explained, “and one of my daughters is going into high school and one’s going into middle school. So we’d always kind of had it in our heads that during those two pinnacle times, because they’re kind of big moments in their lives, we would decide whether we were gonna be up here or down there.”

Sio’s first opened its doors in 2021. Siobhan said that they are willing to sell the restaurant and allow it to remain Sio’s, or allow the new owner to change it as well. They are hoping to have it sold by mid-June this year. “We’re gonna miss it, we love it,” she said. “We’ve had a really great time doing it, but just kind of getting back to family, that’s what we’re gonna focus on for a while.”

“This has been an amazing community,” Siobhan concluded. “It’s so much fun to work downtown, it’s such a good group of people that are running downtown… We love the community, we look forward to still being part of the community when we come back up here during the summers.”
