Mr. Marvin Franklin Jones, age 68, passed away Friday, April 17, 2023, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia.  Services for Mr. Jones will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2023, graveside at Oak City Cemetery.  The Rev. Marty Brock will officiate.  The family will receive friends Friday evening, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. 

Marvin Franklin Jones was born October 17, 1954, in Bainbridge, Georgia to Marvin Zorn Jones and Ida Lee Dollar Jones Edwards.  He was lovingly called Buddy by his family.  Early in his life he helped on the farm.  Later, he worked at Patchogue Industries.  A debilitating car accident changed life for Buddy, but he fought back.  Buddy was so kind and giving.  He loved people and so enjoyed visiting with folks.  Buddy loved to be outside walking.  He was a member of the Solid Rock Church.   Marvin (Buddy) Jones will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Marvin is survived by his siblings, Randall Jones of Bainbridge and Brenda Jones of Marietta, Georgia; nieces, Brandy Renee White and Angie Olivia Hicks of Bainbridge, and Debbie Weeks of Donalsonville, Georgia; great-niece/nephews, Mary Catherine White, Jason Blake Hicks, Dustin Weeks, and Devin McDaniel; great-great nephew, Luke Hicks; uncles, Emmett Dollar and Jack Dollar; and aunt, Marilyn Dotson.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Jones; nephews, Davis Weeks, Jr. and Albert Weeks; great-nephew/great-niece, Dylan Weeks and Autumn Hope Hicks.
