Graveside funeral services for Bonial Shaw Vickers, 66, of Whigham, Ga., are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2023, in Union Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Whigham, Ga.  Pastor James Knight will officiate.  Mr. Vickers passed away at his home on Friday morning, March 24, 2023.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Baggett, Tony Dolan, Cecil Gibbs, Richard Gordan, Dixon Harrison, Ronnie Hornsby, Sonny McGee and Richard Vickers.

Mr. Vickers was born on December 24, 1956, in Cairo, Ga., to Bonial Vickers and the late Marlene Shirley Vickers.  He was a graduate of Whigham High School in 1975.  On November 14, 1982, he married Cynthia Knight Vickers, who preceded him in death on December 31, 2021.   They were married for 39 years.  He worked for JTEKT North America in Cairo as a Setter in the Solid Race Grind Department for 46 years.

Shaw was a great family man cherishing his children and grandchildren who were the light of his life.  His most enjoyable moments were spent on the Flint River with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his loyal friendship and his strong work ethic.         

Survivors include: his children, Kelly Parramore (Maurice) and Casey Vickers, all of Whigham, Ga.; two grandchildren, Miller Parramore and Marley Kate Parramore; his father, Bonial Vickers of Whigham, Ga.; brother, Dennis Vickers of Whigham, Ga.; sisters, Dee Worthington (Hal) of Brinson, Ga., Jill Earnest of Donalsonville, Ga.; nephew, Randall Earnest of Donalsonville, Ga.; great-nephew, Blake Earnest of Donalsonville, Ga.; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Knight, Indianapolis, Ind. 

He was preceded in death by: his mother and his wife.
