George Thomas Willis, age 78, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away March 4, 2023.

The Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Gainey Cemetery with Ray Gainey and Mike Albritton officiating. Followed by the interment at Gainey Cemetery.

Tommy was born February 8, 1945, in Miami Beach, Florida the son of Joseph Yerby Willis and Mary Margaret Tripp Willis. He graduated from Florida Baptist Theological College in Graceville, FL in 1973. Tommy then went on to earn his Bachelors Degree from Florida Baptist Theological College (The Baptist College of Florida) in 1985. He served as a Pastor, for 50 years, at High-Haven Baptist Church in Clewiston, FL, Faith Baptist Church in Old Town, FL, Pine Hill Baptist Church in Cairo, GA, Calvary Baptist Church in Perry, FL, and Southwest Baptist Church, Bethany Baptist, and Immanuel Baptist Church all in Bainbridge, GA.  Tommy served as Chaplain for First Responders and hospitals throughout his ministry. He loved to feed the geese at Earle May Boat Basin. He loved fishing for anything that would strike his line in Lake Seminole or the Everglades. Tommy was married for 57 years to the greatest love of his life, his Bride, his Snazzy, Suzy Willis. He served in the United States Air Force for 2 years.

Survivors include his wife, Suzy Willis; children, Tommy Willis of Bainbridge, GA, and Karey Willis of Wahalla, SC; grandchildren, Tyler, Luke, and Gabriel Bethea, Karli, Brooklyn, and Dax Willis; 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Hugh Willis of Denver, CO and Joe Willis of Denver, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Bobby Willis and Eleanor Willis.
