Dennis Carroll Weaver was born August 14, 1953, in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of Ottis & Robbie Skipper Weaver. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1972. Dennis married Lily Ingram in 1975, and they made their home in Bainbridge. He retired as store manager for Jones Welding Supply. Dennis was an active and faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

His love for the Lord and his family was evident in his everyday life. Dennis set a high bar for other fathers always including Brandon in everything he did. He chose to be the husband, father, and grandfather that set a godly example of how to treat others and carry yourself in business. Dennis loved the outdoors and spent time deer hunting, at dove shoots, playing golf, and bass fishing. Saturdays in the fall included cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Lily Ingram Weaver; his son, Brandon Weaver and his wife, Mandy, of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Ellagrace & Mason; his siblings, Beverly Burke (Joe) of Donalsonville, Suzanne Welch of Clayton, Ga., Clayton Weaver (Lisa) of Havana, Donna Cobb (Nemar) of Alpharetta, and Brenda Howell of Donalsonville; and a host of extended family. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by bonus parents, Harman & Martha Bennett, and his siblings, Stanley Lanier and Betty Jean Bennett.

The Weaver Family extends their sincere appreciation to Dr. Cochran, Dr. Surratt, Memorial ER staff, and 2nd Floor staff for their loving care and support.
