Linnie E. Boyett Martin, age 85, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia.  Services for Mrs. Martin were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 20, at Calvary Baptist Church.  The Rev. Terry Holt officiated.  An interment was held at Roselawn Memory Gardens.   The grandsons of Mrs. Martin served as pallbearers. The family received friends one hour before the service beginning at 10:00.

Linnie E. Boyett was born August 2, 1937, in Amsterdam, Georgia, to Leondies W. Boyett and Varna C. Johnson Boyett.  Linnie graduated from Climax High School.  She was very athletic and excelled on the basketball court.  Linnie loved to read, shop and travel.  She sang in a Gospel group called the Dixie Rainbows and worked as a switchboard operator for the Bainbridge State Hospital.   A wonderful, doting mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Linnie loved her family and God with all her heart and soul.  Loved dearly by her family and many, many friends, she will be deeply missed.

Linnie E. Boyett Martin is survived by her children, Donald Ray Anderson of Havana, Florida, Charlotte Denise Golden, Lyndon Boyd Anderson, Gregory Doyle Anderson (Kimberly) all of Bainbridge, and Sharon Melissa Helms of Youngstown, Florida; sister, Flora Nell Hughes of Climax, Georgia; grandchildren, Keila Anderson (Shelby), Walter Jessup Anderson, Tommie Joe Shields (Brandon), Dana Stokes, Alexis Finney, Jenna McConnell (Joseph), Brian Alday, (Ashley), Ashston Anderson, Payton Anderson, Wesley Helms, and Braxton Helms; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.    She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Billy Ray Anderson and W. D. Martin, son, Ronald Odell Anderson, and siblings, Levon Boyett, Elmer Boyett, and Odell Boyett.
