On September 25, 1928, the late Ms. LB Booker and Mr. James Clayton were blessed with a darling daughter, Loretha Clayton Wilson.
She grew up in Bainbridge, Ga., and received her education at Hutto High School. At an early age, she joined the Saint James Baptist Church.
Loretha was a caring person who really enjoyed working with people and was a ray of sunshine wherever she went. She worked for the Gunn family, the Griffin family, and the Post Searchlight of Bainbridge, Ga., until she retired.
As morning drew near on January 24, 2023, God selected another one of his children to come home, and Loretha Wilson quietly slipped away.
Loretha was the proud parent of Oscar Wilson, Sr., and the late Deloris Terry.
She leaves to cherish her memories: One son, Oscar Wilson, Sr. of Albany. Ga.; Grandchildren; LaTonya Wilson, Oscar Wilson, Jr, Devette Fowler, Darlene (Melvin) Fowler, Kenneth Wilson, Sharon Taylor, and Likishia Brown, Niki Kamule Tillman, Corey Stanford, and Duane Johnson all of Albany, Ga.; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
