Mr. Johnny Layton Barber, age 67, of Donalsonville, Ga., passed away Sunday evening, January 22, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Barbers’ wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held at this time. The family will hold a private service at a later date.

Johnny was born on November 22, 1956 in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of Jim Barber and Marjorie Barber.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Malynda Barber of Donalsonville, Ga.; his children, Penny Godwin of Faceville, Ga., Jennifer Moulton of West Virginia, Devin Barber of Bainbridge, Ga.; his brother, Jimmy Barber; as well as 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Barber and Marjorie Barber, and his brother, Ricky Barber. The family would like to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for their excellent care and love to Johnny and his family. Johnny’s nurse, Joanna Hatfield and his CNA Samantha “Sammy” Holmes that made his transition very comfortable with their love and support.
