Funeral services for Jeanie Lee, 75, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 14, 2022, at Pine Hill Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Kerry Dinkins will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Lee passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

Active pallbearers will be Wesley Lee, Ray Gainey, Tyler Lee, Mark Stevens, Stacey Barrineau and Andy Stewart.

Mrs. Lee was born on October 6, 1947, in Bainbridge, GA, to the late James Erle Whigham and Thelma Larkins Whigham. On April 30, 1966, she married Winfred Lee, who survives. She was the owner and operator of the Children’s Corner for many years and later worked with the Grady County Board of Education as a paraprofessional. Jeanie was well known around Cairo for her famous tea cakes.   She was a devoted member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. She served for many years as secretary of the church.

Survivors include: her husband, Winfred Lee of Cairo, GA; children, Marcus Lee (Jennifer) of Cairo, GA, Michael Lee (Kimberly) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Christopher “C.J” Lee, Mackynzie Lee, Davis Lee, all of Cairo, GA; brother, Tommy Whigham (Barbara) of Woodstock, GA; and nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; and a sister, Joanie Hines.

The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of Pine Hill Baptist Church on Monday, November 14, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
