Tamaki Machelle Brooks was born November 22, 1975, in Dawson, Ga., the daughter of Leroy & Cynthia Robinson. She was a graduate of Campbell High School and lived in Alabama and Cobb County until moving to Decatur County in 2017. Tamaki was a Christian by faith.
Family was the center of her being. Tamaki loved a family gathering and didn’t require a special occasion to assemble. She enjoyed cooking so her delicacies were always in abundance. Family members could be spotted seeking their favorite dishes anticipating that “melt in your mouth” goodness. Music soothed her soul, and she shared her passion with her voice, singing with gusto.
Survivors include her children, Quentarius Brooks of Birmingham, Ala., and Joe Cofield III of Tennessee; her brothers, Alfred Robinson, Dwayne Robinson, and Zachery Robinson; and a large extended family. Tamaki was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Rosalyn Robinson and Reggie Robinson.
Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)
