Nancy Carolyn Snowden King, age 82, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

The public visitation and remembrance of life where the family will accept friends will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will be held with immediate family after the visitation.

Carolyn was born Friday, December 29, 1939 in Hollywood, Florida the daughter of John Henry Snowden and Honorine Attaway Snowden. She graduated from South Broward High School in 1957. She was very involved in school activities including: Key Club Sweetheart, majorette, and she was her class Treasurer. Carolyn married the love of her life, Gerald King, in 1958 after he had joined the Air Force. They traveled and were stationed in different areas until his retirement, when they moved back to Hollywood, FL. Carolyn and Gerald were active members and very involved in First Baptist Church of Hollywood, where she was a member of the choir. Carolyn dedicated her entire life to her close knit family, especially her two daughters.
In 1980, they moved to Bainbridge, GA where they bought land in Faceville, and they learned to embrace country life. They were members of First Baptist Church of Bainbridge and Carolyn was a member of Hilda Byrd Sunday School Class. She loved to cook, bake, and was the community chef. Carolyn loved travelling: especially to Gainesville to cheer on the Florida Gators.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan K Belcher (Jim) and Jeanette K Bishop (Mark); grandchildren, Douglas, Jonathan(Lauren), and Katie Olivia(Conner); great- grandchildren, Waylon, Cain, and Logan Olivia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Gerald King; son, Robert Stephen; parents; and brothers, John and Robert Snowden.
