William Jessie Reynolds was born May 23, 1949, in Cairo, GA, the son of Luther & Edyce Keene Reynolds. After high school, Jessie proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Linda Josey in 1975 and they made their home in Southwest Georgia. Jessie worked for twenty years at Englehard and retired as a foreman for Elberta Crate & Box Co. He was a member of Community Primitive Baptist Church.

Jessie loved his country and everything it stands for. No one questioned his patriotism or dedication. He believed in Second Amendment rights and would discuss his views with whomever would listen. Jessie filled his time post-retirement days with fishing, camping, and making jelly. His favorite activities involved his favorite people, grandchildren. And, yes, he went a little above and beyond the call of duty as “Granddaddy”.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Josey Reynolds; his children, Luther Reynolds (Jennefer) of Tallahassee and Eric Reynolds (Stephanie) of Climax; his grandchildren, Madeline, Maxwell, Lillian, Brenden, and Jessi Layne; his siblings, Louis Reynolds (Fe) of Crestview, FL, Rheuben Reynolds, Charles Reynolds, and Flint Reynolds (Delila) all of Climax; and a host of extended family. Jessie was preceded in death by his parents.
