Jimmie Lou (Maxwell) Cooper, 90, of Climax, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana, Fla., with Reverend Jim Weaver officiating. Private internment will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Climax, Ga. Mrs. Cooper was born November 3, 1931, in Grady County, the daughter of Angus M. Maxwell and Nancy Mae (Stephens) Maxwell. She graduated from Cairo High School. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She retired from Shaw Industries in Bainbridge, Ga.. She is survived by her daughters Dale Cooper Edwards (Joe) of Fort Walton, Fla.; Patty Cooper Greene of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; and her son W. M. “Bill” Cooper (Wade) of Climax, Ga.; her brother W. H. Duck Maxwell of Calvary, Ga.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband W. C. Cooper, Jr.; her parents Angus M. Maxwell and Nancy Mae (Stephens) Maxwell; her sister Mildred Maxwell Collins Johnson, and a brother Melvin Maxwell, and a son-in-law Lloyd Greene.
