Michael Kevin Smith, 60, of Tallahassee, Fla., passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Southwest Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Phillips officiating. Interment will be at Attapulgus Baptist Cemetery with Matt Burgess, Ryan Tibbets, John Betts, Skylar Smith, Preston Hutto, Alpo Watson, Tony Sass, and Frankie VanZant serving as active pallbearers.

Michael Kevin Smith was born August 21, 1961, in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of Alvie Thomas Smith and Bonnie Hawkins Smith. Kevin lived in Southwest Ga. and North Florida all his life. He worked with Classic Custom Coatings and was Baptist by faith.
Kevin loved sports and the outdoors. He was an avid FSU fan and cheered on his ‘Noles in every sport. Tampa Bay Buccaneers and NASCAR occupied his television time otherwise. Lake Talquin was Kevin’s peaceful place and where he caught a mess of fish most every time he went.
Survivors include his children, Brittany & Michael Hutto of Bainbridge, Ga., Skylar Smith of Cairo, Ga., Bonnie Swisher of Tallahassee, Fla., and Jacob Achey; his grandchildren, Preston, Madison, Payson, Landon, Eden, Jordon, and Ian; his siblings, Julie Nix Barron, Jamie & Brenda Smith, and Gerald & Vickie Smith; his companion, Christine Strong; and a host of extended family.
In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his step-father, Benjamin Pennington; and his brothers, William Clayton Smith and Carlton Smith.
