Christopher Henry Vaughn, 42, of Iron City, Ga., passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church, 115 Jennifer Drive, Bainbridge, Ga. 39817, with Rev. Edward Seabrooks officiating. A private family graveside will be held after services. Visitation is Tuesday, August 17, 2021, 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines. The family asks that if you are sick or experiencing any symptoms, to please not attend any services.

Chris was born January 21, 1979, in Donalsonville, Ga., the son of Vivian Vaughn Pinion and Daniel L. Vaughn. Chris loved cooking, the Georgia Bulldogs, wrestling, big trucks, and the color purple. You may remember his steaks at Ard’s Long Branch Café in Iron City, Ga.

Survivors include his son, Carson Alexander Vaughn-Brooks of Iron City; mother, Vivian Vaughn Pinion (Cheyenne) of Iron City; father, Daniel Vaughn (Lucille) of Bainbridge; sister, Carrie Turner (Shane), Bainbridge; nieces, Kreason and Abbie Grace (Little Midget); aunt and uncles, Gary Baker, Louise Richards, Jimmy Vaughn; and special cousins, Stephanie Pippins (Woody), Gary Laney Baker II, Ana Vega, Felipe Vega, Sandy Baker, and numerous other cousins. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carlton & Geneva Smith; uncle, Fred Baker; and his great-grandparents, Clem & Carra Eakin.
