Congratulations to the Bainbridge High School Symphonic and Concert Bands! On March 25th, both bands earned Superior Ratings for the 36th CONSECUTIVE YEAR. A Superior Rating is the highest score a band can receive and places our bands among the very best bands in the state. The bands participated in an evaluation process overseen by the Georgia Bandmasters Association and were evaluated on over two dozen categories of musical, technical, and performance fundamentals. This evaluation follows an extended period of instruction in class as well as in after school rehearsals. These evaluations are invaluable to the continued success and improvement of the performance groups and the programs they represent. The Symphonic Band is directed by Director of Bands, James Sewell. The Concert Band is directed by Assistant Band Director, Will Parker.

Our Bainbridge Middle School Bands also participated in the festival earning Superior Ratings and is also directed by Parker.

Sewell stated “I am so proud of our band students at BHS and BMS as well as at Hutto Middle School. They have had to face so many challenges beyond the norm over the past year, but they have persevered and continued to excel. They work very hard to achieve so many wonderful things and to always do extremely well at everything we ask them to do. It is truly an honor to work with these students, their parents, as well as our band staff and our band boosters organization.”
