Miss Jones weds Mr. Hughes

 

Vanessa Jones, daughter of Gerald and Marie Jones of Bainbridge, wed Brian Hughes, son of Rodney Hughes and Kimberly Wimberly on Mach 6, 2021, at First A.B. Church in Bainbridge, with Rev. Willie Williams officiating.

The bride is the granddaughter of Betty Brown and Bernice Jones. She graduated in 2009 from Bainbridge High School and attended Albany State College, graduating in 2014 with a degree in Criminal Justice.

The groom is the grandson of Sharon Wimberly and Frankie Hughes. He is a 2009 graduate of Bainbridge High School and graduated from Albany Tech. in 2014, where he majored in Criminal Justice.

Attendants of the bride were Veronica Jones, as maid of honor; bridesmaids were Ebony Edwards, Shontel Wimberly, Jalisa Hughes, Dominique Bryant, Keyal Fitzpatrick, Brandy Stanley, Taralyn Brown and AbbiGayle Hamilton. Kimberly Wimberly served as the flower girl.

Devon Ross served the groom as best man, while groomsmen were Anthony Wimberly, Dequon McNair, Rodney Hughes Jr., Eric Henry, Christopher Austin, Lanorris Jenkins, Rashard Russell and Alex Smart. Unity sand carriers were Jaden Holt and Kimron Wimberly.

The couple is making their home in Warner Robins, where she is employed as a claims adjuster and he is a CDL driver.
