On Wednesday, February 24, 2021, Decatur County Sheriff’s Office investigators issued a search warrant that led to the arrest of two individuals for illegal possession of controlled sub-stance with intent to distribute.
According to reports, DCSO Investigator Adam Mobley, Investigator Justin Kelley, Investigator Vincent Edmond, Chief Investigator Elijah McCoy, Chief Deputy Wendell Cofer, Lieutenant John Presilla, Lieutenant Patrick Trolinger, Sergeant Austin Spence, Deputy Jordan Phillips, Deputy Timothy Fowler, Deputy Chris Jackson and Crime Scene Investigator Terry Phillips were on the 800 block of Lake Drive in Bainbridge for the purpose of executing a search warrant when they found the subject trying to dispose of evidence.
Upon arrival, a subject, later identified as Frederick Faison peaked out from the window and retreated as Presilla was approaching the home. Presilla proceeded to knock on the door and was answered by Morgan Clemons.
Clemons exited the residence to speak to Presilla, who informed her he was there to see and speak to Paul Moore.
Clemons informed Presilla that Moore was not home and was at work. Faison then exited the home and spoke with Presilla.
While Clemons and Faison were speaking to Presilla, Mobley and Kelly exited their patrol vehicle and walked to the carport where they were speaking.
Mobley then opened the glass door to the home, where the main door was already open.
He, along with other deputies, entered the home and loudly announced that they were conducting a Sheriff’s Office Search Warrant.
Deputies cleared the residence room by room, before Mobley located Moore in the hallway bathroom and noticed the toilet was running.
Moore was detained by deputies and taken outside while the remainder of the house was searched.
Inside, investigators located a quantity of suspected Ecstasy, Hydrocodone, THC oil, a sum of U.S. currency, a money card and other evidence.
Clemons and Moore were arrested and charged with one count of possession of Ecstasy, one count of possession of Hydrocodone and one count of possession of THC oil.
