Mr. Rodney Eli Phillips, 43, of Colquitt, died Friday, February 26, 2021, in Bainbridge, Ga. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 4 p.m. at Cook’s Cemetery with Rev. Kent Barwick officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 2-3:30 p.m. at Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church.
Eli was a 1995 graduate of Miller County High School and served two years in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was of the Methodist faith and was employed with Tractor Supply in Bainbridge, Ga. Eli will be remembered for his free spirit, genuine soul, and his contagious smile.
He is survived by two sons, Logan Phillips of Troy, Ala., and Hawk Phillips of Colquitt; one daughter, Ellaina Phillips of Colquitt; fiancee Meagan Kelly of Colquitt; father, Rodney Phillips of Colquitt; two sisters, Tina (John) Maloy of Colquitt, and Ann (Henry) Harbin of Colquitt; two nephews, Garrett (Niki) Maloy and Hank Harbin both of Colquitt; one niece, Samantha Maloy of Colquitt; one great-niece, Caroline Maloy of Colquitt; one aunt, Kay Phillips Smith of Colquitt; and one uncle, Gene (Linda) Key of Bainbridge. Eli was preceded in death by one son, Dakota Phillips; his mother, Rita Key Phillips; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Key; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. CC (Shorty) Phillips.
