The Bainbridge- Decatur County Chamber of Commerce holds the River Town Days festival the second weekend of March each year. After much deliberation, the River Town Days Committee and the Chamber Board of Directors decided that holding River Town Days on March 13 – 14th is not in the best interest of our community. Instead, the event will be postponed to August 28-29, 2021.
At the Chamber of Commerce, our mission is to strengthen business, foster economic growth, and improve the quality of life for all. Ultimately, the Chamber and Chamber Committees feel it irresponsible to hold events that could result in the wide-spread transmission of Covid-19, which in turn, would negatively affect our citizens, businesses, and ultimately the economy as a whole here in Bainbridge and Decatur County.
River Town Days draws thousands of people from the tri-state region. There is much confidence that with the summer months approaching and the current distribution of vaccines that our community will be in a much different environment in August, one in which we can safely gather.
In the meantime, the Chamber of Commerce encourages the community to shop local, support small business, stay safe and stay well. For additional information and updates regarding River Town Days and other Chamber of Commerce events, please visit our websites and follow our social media pages.
