Jeanette McDowell Faircloth, 85, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Friday, February 19, 2021.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.

Miriam Jeanette McDowell was born February 20, 1935 in Bainbridge, the daughter of Tom and Vernice Logue McDowell. She was a graduate of West Bainbridge High School. She married Carl Raymond Faircloth and they made their home in Bainbridge. She served as a health service technician at Bainbridge State Hospital until her retirement. Jeanette was a member of West Street Baptist Church.

Though Jeanette was a homebody, she loved company, especially if it was a gathering of family. She was a great cook and would eat most anything. Jeanette enjoyed sewing, puzzle books, fishing, and watching her favorite television shows. Holidays were special to her with Christmas being her favorite time of year.

Survivors include her children, Tonya Faircloth Williams and her husband, Leslie, of Lake Seminole and Sandy Faircloth Lambert of Bainbridge; her brother, Charles McDowell and his wife, Carol, of Seattle, Wash.; her sister-in-law, Linda McDowell; and her nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Raymond Faircloth; her children, Mike Faircloth, Terri Faircloth, and Leonard Faircloth; and her brothers, Billy McDowell and James McDowell.
