Audrey Bragg Ward, 73, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.

Audrey Mae Bragg was born December 17, 1947 in Bainbridge, Ga., the daughter of Emory and Carrie Judy Bragg. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and spent two years in nursing school. Audrey was Baptist by faith.

A caregiver at heart, Audrey worked for years in the day care setting and opened her home to foster children. She raised Dachshunds, enjoyed cooking and always loved beautiful flowers. She kept up with news and weather in between episodes of Jerry Springer and WWE Wrestling. Audrey told it like it was and kept right on keeping on.

Survivors include her children, Charles Timothy Ward and LeeAnn Pepper, both of Bainbridge, Ga., and Penny Michelle Ward (Steve Garcia) of Newton, Ga.; her siblings, Larry M. Bragg (Mary) of Bainbridge and Elaine German of Brinson; her grandchildren, April Prescott, Tiffany McNease, Breanna Pepper, Micheal Pepper, Emory Ward, Rudy Garcia, Libbey Ward, Ashley Ward, and Abbigail Ward; and many great-grandchildren. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ruth Elizabeth Bragg; and her sister, Ruth Elizabeth Bragg.
