Mr. Michael Anthony Love was born June 13, 1959, to the late Augustus and Annie Gertrude Love in Bainbridge, Ga.
He was called home to live with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, 25, 2020 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services were held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Open Pond Cemetery, Salem Church Road, Climax, Ga. with Rev. Craig Conyers as Eulogist and Minister Freddy Thomas presiding.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Nelson Chapel A.M.E. Church. He graduated from Bainbridge High School class of 1977. Michael served in the United States Army for 12 years during the Gulf War, Desert Storm. He was a master mechanic. He loved his country and his job. He was a member of Freddy Boys Motorsports Club of Bainbridge. His favorite pastime was fishing.
Michael married the love of his life, Miss Dorothy Smart. They were married for 38 years and were blessed with three sons, one that preceded him in death, and one daughter who also preceded him in death.
He leaves loving memories with his wife, Dorothy; sons, Tyrone (Ramona) Thompson, Detroit, Mich., Michael Love II, and Matthew Love, both of Bainbridge; God-sister Melba Terrell of Atlanta; brother, Eddie (Alesia) Brinson of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Remah, Tyra, Nevah of Detroit and a special niece, Michelle (Turner) Love-Ogden of Baxley, Ga.; a special friend, William “Bobo” (Lisa) Fountain.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Shirley Love, James (Boo) Love, Sr., Gus Love, Jr., William Love and Reginald Love Sr.; Father-in-law, Brother-in-law Rev. Moses Smart and Sister-in-law Mary Smart.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
