Bearcat XC runners qualify for state meet in Carrollton

The Bainbridge Bearcats cross country teams finished third overall at the XC Region meet, qualifying both the boys and girls teams for the state meet in Carrollton. Both Rylan Bland and Landon Watts placed fourth, with Bland having a time of 23:22 and Watts having a time of 18:30. This qualified both of them as individuals to compete at the state meet.

Remaining times for the teams are as follows:
Boys:
Jared Davis, 6th with a time of 19:02;
Hunter Harris, 13th with a time of 20:29;
Aiden Matthews, 16th with a time of 20:59;
Thomas Brock, 17th with a time of 21:02;
Donye Mills, 19th with a time of 21:23 ;
And Titus Porter, 23rd with a time of 22:09.

Girls:
Haydyn Klock, 7th with a time of 24:47;
Allison Oliver, 17th with a time of 28:09;
Viviana Schuyler, 18th with a time of 28:11;
Raidyn Oliver, 21st with a time of 29:13;
And Kayla Braswell, 23rd with a time of 29:43.

“The entire meet went well. It was an all-around team effort from the runners, the coaches, the parents, and the school,” Coach Eric Conner said. “Our runners ran very well and I am proud of their effort in not only the race, but how they train and mentally prepare. Anyone can run, but you have to be mentally tough in order to succeed.”
The state meet will be held on November 6th in Carrollton.
