GBI makes arrest in local child porn investigation
On Thursday, October 22, 2020, Alvin Douglas Boger, III, 29, of Bainbridge, Ga., was taken into custody during a traffic stop conducted by the Leon County (FL) Sheriff’s Office in Tallahassee, FL, after a coordinated effort between the GBI, the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, the Tallahassee, Fla. Police Department, and the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. Boger is charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography and was taken to the Decatur County Jail.
On Tuesday, April 14, 2020, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Region 9 Field Office received a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in reference to suspected child pornography located in an online account that had been traced back to Alvin Douglas Boger, III (known as DJ) who resided in Bainbridge, Decatur County, GA. During the investigation, agents were able to confirm that Boger had downloaded images and videos of child pornography and then uploaded the files onto a cloud-based server.
