C-Team brings home win against Dothan

Monday night the C- Team Bearcats headed to Dothan, where they brought home an impressive 30-6 victory.
Coach Rohan Gaines said the team was determined to win after Dothan beat them last time on the Bearcats home turf.
C- Team came out strong.
Sophomore Jafus Ferguson caught a pic 6 on the first defensive drive, bringing in a touchdown. Freshman Quarterback Cam Sanders then threw a 50-yard touchdown to freshman wide receiver Carl Boldin, putting the team up 14-0.
With a two touchdown lead, Running Back Thomas Brenton then scored a rushing touchdown, making it 21-0.
A last second score was finally made by sophomore Running Back RJ Hamilton.
“Defense pitched a shutout up into the fourth quarter,” Gaines said.
During the fourth quarter, the C-Team Bearcats had a 3 to 1 fumble caused by offensive lineman Peyton Edwards, one interception by Ferguson and one fumble caused by offensive lineman Thomas Aikens.
“I really love this group,” Gaines said. “They play hard and fast and they’re super competitive.”
The team’s competitive spirit shined during their win against AAAAAAA Dothan.
Gaines continued to praise the C-Team Bearcats saying, that the team plays together and for each other.
“If they stick together they will be a top notch group for us,” Gaines concluded.
