The Bainbridge High School FFA Chapter is proud to introduce the members of our officer team. Below you will see that  each officer has their very own unique ideas and awesome personalities.  Every one of these officers share a deep passion for agriculture and the FFA.  Although this school year brings challenges, the officer team and advisors have worked diligently to make the most out of this year.

Weston Powell is a senior serving as the chapter President.  Weston has been involved in the FFA ever since he was a middle school chapter officer.  The Poultry Judging CDE is Weston’s all time favorite competition.  In his free time, Weston works diligently at his family farm. The BHS FFA Vice President is senior Madalyn Yancey.  Madalyn has a heart for helping others, and through FFA she is able to use her kindness to spread agricultural awareness.  Madalyn also loves to compete in the Parliamentary Procedure CDE.  A fun fact about Madalyn is she really enjoys spending time with her dog and teaching him tricks. Ashton Aldridge is a junior this year at BHS and he is serving as chapter Secretary.  Ashton is extremely committed to the FFA and his job at Providence Dairy.  He also loves poultry and learning more about it, so it is no surprise that the Poultry Evaluation CDE is his favorite competition.

This year’s co-secretary is Taryn Powell.  Taryn is a 10th grader and a BHS varsity football cheerleader. Taryn has great leadership qualities and a natural talent for public speaking.  For the past two years, Taryn has done an excellent job competing in the FFA Creed Speaking CDE. Brent Miller is serving as a Treasurer for our current school year.  This year Brent will be a junior at BHS.  Brent is dedicated to the FFA, the BHS tennis team, and his job at Chick-fil-a.  He is extremely knowledgeable about the poultry industry and Brent loves to compete in the Poultry Evaluation CDE. Our other chapter Treasurer is junior, Pierce Taunton.  Pierce’s after school job entails working for his family’s company, Taunton Electric. Therefore, because of his extensive background in the electrical field the Electrical Wiring competition is Pierce’s favorite FFA CDE. Kathryn Cohen is a junior at BHS and she is serving as the chapter Reporter.  Kathryn also now serves as the Area V FFA Secretary.  She loves the Prepared Public Speaking competition and looks forward to this CDE every year.  In Kathryn’s free time, she loves to ride her horse and play golf. This year’s Co-Reporter is Reese Godby.  Reese is very detail oriented, which makes her wonderful at the Floral Design CDE.  She is a 10th grader this year at BHS, and one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.  Reese also has deep love for riding her horse Smoke at her local barn in Whigham, Georgia. Kaycee Brooks is a junior and currently serving as Sentinel.  Kaycee found her love for agriculture and the FFA just last year, and she has worked so hard at her new passion.  Her all time favorite CDE is Meats Evaluation.  Kaycee dreams of pursuing a career in Optometry after she graduates.
