Joe Randall Brown was born March 27, 1947 in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of Roy and Mattie Mae Spooner Brown. He was a graduate of Attapulgus High School and worked with Twin H Farms. Joe was Baptist by faith.
Simple things meant the most to Joe. He loved farming, John Deere tractors, peanut season, hunting and fishing. Stewardship was a core value and Joe only took what he needed from a harvest, hunt, or fishing trip. He loved old westerns and turned the volume up so loud friends and family felt like they were part of the action. Joe’s grandchildren made special memories and learned many life lessons from his hard earned wisdom.
Survivors include his sons, Joe Brown, Jr., and his wife, Diane, of Bainbridge, and Jimmy Brown of Reseda, Calif.; his sisters, Nell Sadberry of Tallahassee, Fla., Linda Salmon of Bainbridge, and Barbara Welch of Duluth, Ga; his grandchildren, Jesse and Ty; his many nieces and nephews; and his special friend and mother of his children, Joy Cook. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Brown, Roy Brown, Jr., and Ann Altman.
