SP Truck Stop and Travel Center treated law enforcement officers to a Hunt Brothers pizza lunch at their newly renovated store on Thursday.

The updated store contains a Hunt Brothers Pizza stand inside that allows customers to choose a personal pizza or take a bite of single slices that are hot and ready.

In addition to the pizza stand, manager, Beth Ferrell said the extensive remodel also allowed them to bring in Krispy Krunchy Chicken that they intend to launch next week for customers to enjoy. Ferrell said they also have increased their trucker accessories for drivers.

“We just wanted to increase our presence,” Ferrell said. “We want to be a full service truck stop, we have a trucker’s lounge for the overnight stay and we want to have a good food service for them when they come in.”

Ferrell explained the food is for more than just the drivers; they are known for their every day buffet, but especially their Sunday buffet.

In order to showcase their new pizza product and renovations, they provided officers with pizza to thank them.

“They support us and keep a check on us, since we are open 24 hours, so we wanted to show our support,” Ferrell said.

Ferrell invites everyone to come out and visit them and taste their new pizza and wings. They are located on Dothan Road.
